This policy describes how information is handled by the Email Authentication Checker (“the Service”).
The Service requires no registration and never asks for personal information such as your name or email address. It sets no cookies, uses no browser local storage, and includes no analytics or advertising trackers.
A domain name you submit is used only to run the check. It is not written to any persistent store. To avoid repeating identical lookups, the result is held in a server-side cache for up to 5 minutes.
The Service resolves DNS over HTTPS. The domain you enter is therefore sent to the public resolvers it queries — Cloudflare (cloudflare-dns.com) and Google (dns.google) — where each provider’s own privacy policy applies.
By the nature of DNS, the domain you check also reaches the operator of that domain’s authoritative name servers as an incoming query.
The Service runs on Cloudflare Workers. For fault diagnosis and abuse prevention, logs are recorded that include the source IP address, the time of the request and the endpoint called. These logs are deleted automatically once Cloudflare’s retention period elapses, and we do not combine them with other information to identify individuals.
To prevent an excessive number of checks in a short period, the source IP address is used as the identifier for a temporary request limit. It is used only for that decision and is not stored alongside what was checked.
To improve the Service and detect faults, we aggregate request counts, response times and error rates. These aggregates do not include the domain names submitted for checking.
This policy may be revised as the law or the Service changes. Material changes will be published on this page.
